<reviewbody>An admirable transfer of a significant film. Robeson's singing is a distinct plus, but even without that, this would be arguably the best cinema version.

HOWEVER, the MPEG2 ends at 36 minutes (about 1.8 GB).</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>Very slow moving, long story, but not poorly acted. Too much singing. I bet this was an impressive film on the big screen in its' time.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>This is by far and most, the best loved novel I
have read,I would highly recommend to read the novel and watch the movie. There has been modifications, but you ought to make it when u shrink it,into a 80 minutes.Looking forward for
Steven Spielberg to direct this movie!!!</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>The MPEG1 version suffered from video dropouts through out the entire movie. As another reviewer below mentions "green blocks" fill the screen when ever the video signal is missing.
I can't give it a rating since it was unwatchable.

I'll try the largest file size and see if that play better.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>this is really a gem of a movie, it looks like it was filmed on location and all the actors are accomplished, Paul Robeson looks like a king! Excellent choice for the character.

This movie could not be remade and done as well, even though many of the themes are contemporary.</reviewbody>
